TPX Hose
Traditionally manufactured extruded hose can vary in thickness, becoming bulky and heavy. Snap-tite TPX utilizes a unique 3-ply design where the cover and liner are extruded independently and double vulcanized to guarantee a consistent, compact hose wall. However, the strength of TPX is in its reinforcement. Snap-tite’s TPX is made of 100% high tenacity, polyester fibers. Polyester is known for its strength, but also has the ability when stretched, to return to its original size and shape. Tightly woven high strength polyester reinforcement means a longer wear life, greater tensile strength, and superior puncture resistance.

PROPERTIES AND CONSTRUCTION
- Ribbed nitrile rubber cover lowers drag force and provides long
service life.
- Smooth nitrile rubber liner keeps pressure drop to a minimum.
- Polyester reinforcement, tightly woven, twill weave resists puncture.
- Hose remains flexible to temperatures as low as -5°F (-20°C) and is
resistant to ozone, oxidation, and most chemicals or petroleum products.
- Excellent for tough applications such as construction sites, mines and
industrial firefighting.
- Snap-tite TPX is manufactured within our ISO-9001: 2000 certified quality
assurance system.
